Alec is the owner and lead trainer at Loki KC Dog Training. Alec has been training animals for over 10 years! It wasn't until 2017 when he decided to make his passion into a profession and opened Loki KC Dog Training. Since then Alec has been recognized as a certified dog trainer through the Animal Behavior College. He has been certified in pet nutrition, pet massage, and shelter dog training. Alec continues to strive and help owners understand their animals. Alec has also worked as an Animal Control Officer from 2017 to 2020 in order to study the behaviors of animals in their natural and not so natural environment. In 2021 he decided to work for a well-known local shelter as a behavior evaluator and trainer, to increases hands-on experience even more. In 2024 and 2025 Alec worked at the Kansas City Zoo where he worked with several different species of animals, including but not limited to the Polar Bear, Penguins, River Otters and a Red Panda.
Some might ask, why? Well let us tell you! Alec wanted to know a variety of different things. For instance, why are people giving up on their pets? How do animals act in their home versus the streets? What can we do to educate people? Through this Alec has revealed that most people just don't have the time to educate themselves about their pet. They misunderstand and misinterpret the behaviors that their pets are exhibiting. Alec's main goal is to help owners understand why animals are doing what they do and strive to create a bond between animals and people.
